Born 1851 being the second son of Lieutenant\u2013General Marcus John Slade, by his wife Charlotte, daughter of Andrew Ramsey; created Companion of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, 1893 and has also the fourth class of the Turkish Orders of Osannieh and Medjidic, Club \u2013 United Service. Armorial boarings-He bears for Arms: Party per fesse argent and sable, a pale counterchanged and three horses heads erased of the second, on a chief ermine, two bombs fired proper. Upon the escutcheon from which is pendent him badge as a Companion of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath and his badges of Osmanieh and Medjidie, is placed a helmet befitting his degree, with a mantling sable and argent: and for his Crest, upon a wreath of the colours, on a mount vert, a horse\u2019s head erased sable, within a chain in arch gold.<\/p>\n
