BIRTH
Henry John Slade was born on 27 May 1836 in Oldbury, Worchestershire, United Kingdom, and christened on 12 June 1836. Transcription of Christening Certificate: Henry the son of John Slade of Oldbury in the Parish of Haleowen in the County of Salop, and of Ann his wife, who was the daughter of Richard and Cath Mason was born on the twenty-seven day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty six. And was solemnly baptized with water in the name of the Father, of the Son, and the Holy Ghost on the twelfth day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty six.
MARRIAGE

He married Elizabeth White on 6 Jun 1859 in Dudley, Worchestshire, England.
DEATH
Henry John Slade was a coal miner, he worked in the Ramrod Hall mine near Rowley Regis. On the 5th February 1862 a large piece of coal accidentally tumb led against him and injured his leg. He died on the 9th February 1862, six day before his son Henry was born.
